i have just re-installed windows xp on a system with no problems,and i have found out it has a n-force 2 motherboard
i am using the p.c with no problems ,so what will i gain by installing the nforce 2 mainboard drivers.
is it nessecary or can i survive without them,
i have found the drivers and downloaded them so they are ready to install if needed

This OCR pops up for use with Readires after I installed the printer whichin the installation it had me wait while it put this into a folder before it quit installing.Now it wants to put in the Ocr thing to use the program.

I just added a new tricolor ink cartridge into my HP OfficeJet G55 printer. When turned back on, it said to press ENTER for cartridge alignment. Whenever I did, it would fail and the paper would come out half done. I don't know what to do. I can still print, but only the pink color works. I have checked, and it seems that the cartridges are installed correctly. Any ideas?

This may be a really dumb question, but darned if I can find an answer in the couple of books I have or on Apple site.
CAN I do it? Are they automatically blue? Will it work in Yahoo email as well as software apps like Appleworks 6? Sorry for extra questions. Thanks for ANY help!

ok so i got a new logitech headset for my bday. and of course it wont work. i can hear everything fine so the head phones are working properly. the microphone portion of my headset isnt working. ive tried everything i can think of with the control panel and when i go to the microphone options part of the control panel it only recognizes the micrphone that is built into the computer. any ideas?

My desktop computer is about 4 years old, and the monitor recently started acting up--the screen will blackout for about 30 seconds, about twice a day.

I have a Dell laptop and have filled 1/2 of the hard drive with my music. It is starting to effect performance so I want to move all music and my iTunes software to an external hard drive to improve my laptop performance. Is this a good idea? What features should I look for when shopping?

I was trying to print a pdf from my laptop so i saved it onto the flash drive and it was working fine, it was read and all that. Then i tried to open it on the desktops and none of them recognize that its even there. Then i put it into my laptop again and it wont read there either. The flash wont even light up like it usually does. Its pretty new and has been working fine on the desktops, i tried it on the laptop today for the first time. What could be the problem...how can i fix this?

are there disadvantages to purchasing an internal hard drive and then enclosing it in a hard drive case so that it can be used as an external hard drive? should i go this route or just purchase an external hard drive?

I have jus t found that my hard drive which is 160GB is only showing 127GB, thanks to another question I asked I have found computer managerment, this shows the drive with 24.67 GB unalocated can I get this back so my hard drive is near to the 160 it should be without formating.

my brothers got into the webcam box while i was away and threw away the manual now i'm trying to install it but i can't i used the installation CD the program installed but every time i try to use it th program says i don't have video capture hardware and i used all the openinge the plug could fit in and it stiil won't work can anyone help? thanks

My adult child often has his laptop computer running for hours, recieving emails, doing work, text messaging etc. When I have walked in the computer room where he works, I smell a very strong odor coming from the laptop, which is a plastic or chemical smell. The computer gets hot, but does have a cooling system installed with a high grade fan. I am concerned of the safety of breathing in this chemical smell. I have not been able to find any explanation of what chemicals are released, nor safety reports regarding this concern. Any scientific, actual knowledge is greatly appreciated. Please leave out any ideas or opinions, as we also have many of our own. We are looking for FACTS only. Thanks to all who assist.
