I was wondering that if I were to buy a laptop from the U.S ,will it work in Europe with no problem with its original CA plug-in cable ? Or do I have to purchase a different one from Europe in order to be able to plug and use the laptop?

It is almost a decade since I am using Windows and have finally decided to try out Mac, I know Vista but it does not look that promising. Coming back to the Mac the two main applications I currently use are Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks both are available for Mac so not a problem. But I have a few basic queries (sorry if they are dumb but I have no idea on Mac) :-
1) Currently in my office I am using Windows XP with ICS so if I connect my Macbook will it work ?
2) Macbook uses AirPort Extreme wireless networking (802.11b/g) so is it compatible with all the Wi-Fi hotspots ?
3) Macs dont come with a PCMCIA slot so it is not possible to use the EDGE data cards for accessing the Internet on the move, Is there any alternative to that ?

If i 'shift+del' all data, will the buyer still B able 2 recover it. I have vital data stored that i'll be erasing. i 'have' 2 sell it, how do i make sure that the buyer doesn't recover it thru any 'data recovery software'?
my vendor says he'll erase it and format it, how do i make sure that he has erased it forever?

all the parts are intact, there are catches & slots but the plastic key doesnt seem slot back properly, i am afraid to break the mechanisms below the plasic key if i use too much force. is there a better way to do it?

i have tried all the ways (opened in safe mode, opened in vga mode), when i try to change the resolution up to higher values (except vga mode-640x480 8 bit) ,monitor goes black. Problem is became yesterday, i used it for two years at 1024x768 at 75 hertz monitor refreshment rate. My monitor is 17" samsung sync master 753s and graphich card 64mb mx440 agp 8x nvidia chipset. Now where is the problem , in my graphic card or monitor, i have very little time to overcome the problem. Thanks for all replies

what is the best way to leave a pc when u use it a lot during the day on and off, everyday? turn it off or put it on stand by? which one damages the pc more? and when i put it on stand by i have a blinking light on the cpu thing, is there anyway that i can put it on stand by and not get the blinking light?

i use a pentium 4 1.8ghz with 512mb ram, hard disc size of about 80gig. Whenever my system comes on and i run a programme or do sumthin as little as copy a file, my CPU usage goes up to a 100%, imagine that, when all i'm doing is copying a file.....after about 10seconds, it'll freeze and i'ld have to restart. But if i leave the system on without doing nothin, it'll stay on forever. I thot maybe my CPU fan wasnt workin well so i changed it, but the problem still persists. Any Help?????

I've had this computer for a while now and use to be able to highlight items, right click and say "send to" the DVD/CD writer. However, now I can't and have to use Nero or a similar program to burn items. It's a bit frustrating. Does anyone know why this has happened and how I can get back to it?

The DLA is still enabled.
