Ummmmm... I would think that you could call your mobile phone company and report the phone as stolen/lost.

Well, Proper procedure is to first go to Police Station of area where lost ur mobile (or suspect so) . Register a F.I.R. Then take a copy of this FIR to the Network Provider, They will give u a Lost Mobile/SIM form. Submit it with the copy of ur FIR and Forget Everything , Because this is just what u can do legally! Rest all depends on Police(which is too busy serving VIP's ) and the Network Providers (who r very busy in expanding their client base!)

if u have only the IMEI number u can not be able to block ur mobile if u have bought your mobile with the bill from the shop u can be able to block ur mobile . The process is u have to take ur mobile bill to ur nearest police station put an FIR and u take the copy of the FIR to ur nearest nokia authorised gallery if u submit the copy of FIR the will block ur mobile otherwise there is no way to block ur mobile

well contact your service provider for the matter.. you sim is being monitored by the service provider.. in case your sim has been discarded by the person having your cell even then you could rely on your network provider or any particular monitoring authority (like the CPLC anti-cell phone theft cell here in Pakistan which keeps a constant log of all imei numbers to prevent resale of snatched cell phones)
