You do not state what kind of problem it is. Have you put your Yahoo ID and password in? If you have you may need to uninstall it and reinstall Yahoo Messenger. See if that helps. As a last resort, go to Yahoo and their help site and get some support. I know that I had to get the previous Yahoo browser as i had trouble with the newer one. Good luck! Try this site:

First you have to check if you are behind a firewall or not and hence adjust your Yahoo messenger prefereence.
Else you have to un-install your yahoo program and install the latest version of Yahoo messenger and try to use it.
I did that before and it worked
