all the parts are intact, there are catches & slots but the plastic key doesnt seem slot back properly, i am afraid to break the mechanisms below the plasic key if i use too much force. is there a better way to do it?

This happens to everybody once in a while so don't worry yourself out. The usual trick is to put it back in top first (as in slightly tilted twords the f1..f12 keys), fix the top part with a little force (shouldn't take that much), and the bottom should slot in even easier.

Push the letter back into place be sure slots are lined up.

These things are pretty dtrong, just slowly but firmly work it back into place. Don't forget that you may be able to work the computer without it.

It may be better to just buy a new keyboard, they aren't expensive nowerdays.

take it 2 the nearest customer service center and ask them 2 put in a new keyboard. dont expect this 2 b covered by ur warranty though.

Try to force it or if you aren't able to do it go to a service center and get it repaired.

type only those words which doen't carry 'N'....
