This OCR pops up for use with Readires after I installed the printer whichin the installation it had me wait while it put this into a folder before it quit installing.Now it wants to put in the Ocr thing to use the program.

the IRIS OCR comes with any HP scanner, or all in one printer, all you have to do is just reinstalling it again

OCR is Optical Character Recognition, and if the program requests it you should install it. It has something to do with the ability to translate a picture of a letter or number, such as those in scanned documents, into the real McCoy.

OCR means Optical Character Recognition. It is used to convert graphics (usually a scanned page) to a editable document. You decide if you need this feature.
