Hardware - August 2006

Something is wrong with my computer and I don't know what it is. Everytime I try to start into Internet explorer it opens up, but then after a short period, its gotta be less then 5 seconds, and then it just closes automatically. Then when I try to start into limewire it always shows the green limewire thingy when it starts and then it quits. What do I do to help stop this problem, it started today. Thanks!

If you have used your LCD HDTV as a PC monitor, then is the picture as crisp as a real monitor in the same resolution? I am planning to buy a HDTV and use it as a PC monitor, and most of the time, I work with Borland Delphi which has small fonts. Should I buy a LCD TV or go for a real monitor instead? (Please answer this question ONLY if you have tried it yourself).

guys plz help me.my pc freezes frequently.cant even operate the mouse.my last option is to restart.sometimes wen i on my pc display doesnt come.monitor shows orange light only.then i on/off the pc several times to get d display.freezes r very frequent i even get scared to write a cd.

So first i put it in and there are options i click view files in folder then i try to add but i dont know how.i wanted to add a playlist from iTunes but it doesnt let me. only i can do it one song at a time and i dont want to do that.and i saved the playlist and from my documents i tried to drag it but its just a notepad document with all the names of the songs.what do i do?i have no clue.

I have looked for the integrated sounds chip on the mother board and found it is a sigmatel stac9700s, downloaded a new device driver but it will not install saying the is no device present! On the sounds and audio devices from the control panel it is all grey saying there are no devices connected (my speakers are) and the previous driver is not listed!! It's been driving me mad for weeks now! help!

I bought a new case, mobo, processor, fan etc n connected all of them together to a 400 watt powersupply but for some reasonit won't turn on.. Hi, I have a dell inspiron 6000,i guess it got heated upi dunno it was fine last night now its not turning on, i removed the battery for a while,it turned on and said "The system got warm more than expected" and then it turned off again ,what do i do?Where should i take it for repair,i am in NY,any place in midtown manhattan or elmhurst ,queens???
