With this camera I am able to capture still pictures onto the computer, but am unable to capture the video. I have an exterior DVD burner that allows me to hook the camera up and run the video through that onto the computer, but when I hook the camera up directly to the computer through a USB cable or an S-video cable, the computer will not recognize that the camera is attached. I have a new computer running windows XP.
Thanks if you can help.

When I hook up my Ipod Nano to the computer, a messenge comes up stating that Windows does not recognize the device. I did all the steps but nothing seems to work, I used the device manager and everything. The ipod does not appear in itunes, nor does it say that it is installed.

Says that key can be used as a regular key on non U3 machines. I expected to be able to download a Win98-2 driver for it. I can't find it. Mostly U3 stuff comes up but I do have a few 98 machines yet. Thanks

I have to take a test that is entirely on the computer (GMAT) that involves having to stare at the screen in order to solve math problems and verbal questions. The nature of the questions is that you have to be aware of little tricks and pay very close attention to every detail presented.

When I do paper tests I do very well, but struggle with the actual computer tests because I suffer from eye strain and headaches from staring at the screen.

Are there any glasses or anything I could put over the monitor to reduce this problem?

I am ordering a notebook from Dell and I can get either but I cannot get a 120GB with the 7400 so that's not an option. Which is better? More space and slower (if rpm is a big difference) or less space and faster?

I need to get a new pc for school and i am most likely building it myself. Anyhow I was looking into getting one of the new intel core 2 duo processors, if not then my 2nd option is a intel pentium d 950 processor. What I want to know is is it worth waiting for the core 2 duo? is it really that much better than the 950? Also my friend told me a store she goes to told her that they are gonna be hard to get because they dont know how to manufacture it fast enough (the core 2 duo) is this true??

After a chat with a Dell technician, I was told that my hard drive is about to crash. She advised me to save all of my files to a flash drive or another computer and the she would help me restore and reinstall all of my software. I assume she means to restore to the factory settings. My question is, if my hard drive is about to crash, how will reinstalling everything prevent that from happening? When I asked the Dell tech, she said "it won't". So I'm confused. What exactly would the purpose of reinstalling everything be then?

I want to buy a new HDD, and want to connect it through s-ata. Does it matter in which connector I plug the s-ata cable? And I heard that I need a power calbe extension for the s-ata hard drive. I have a Asus mother board A8N-SLI DELUXE and an ide WD2500JB-00GVA0 hdd. Now, the HDD has a 4 pins power connector. Will it work for the s-ata hard disk? Or I will really need an extension to plug it in the disk?

I need a new dvd burner, and found a mad dog multimedia on the low-low. I have never heard of this company before and was wondering if anyone knows of a site that does reviews on dvd burners, or has one and can tell me if it is a good reliable product.

Any ideas on relative reliabilty? (IBM was recommended by Geek...but think most problems related to WinXP. Money an issue but can do a lower-end MAC. To be used for writing articles, doing community newsletters (MSPublisher), I-pod, some photo editing (very basic), E-mail, PDA sync. Definitely not a techie despite years of PC use -- but can learn fast from VERY specific, English instructions. Husband no help, he had in-office tech support...knows less than I do about computers.
Is Mac worth extra $$$? Will it be obsolete tomorrow or do .
I have a couple of years to amortize?
