When I hook up my Ipod Nano to the computer, a messenge comes up stating that Windows does not recognize the device. I did all the steps but nothing seems to work, I used the device manager and everything. The ipod does not appear in itunes, nor does it say that it is installed.

When I got my ipod I haven't recevied any cd to install nano.

Use th cd that came with your ipod. If that doesn't work try tech support!

I suppose you could always try reading the directions that came with the IPOD, sounds more like it doesn't have a driver installed for the IPOD though...just fyi. Reading is fundamental.
