there is a magnetic field close by eg mobilie phone, microwave. etc, or the monitor is dieing and will need to get replaced or fixed. but would proberly cost more to get it fixed.

The answer above is true, but it could also be a voltage problem. Try your monitor on a friend's house to see if the problem persist.

In the best case scenario, you only need to replace the monitor's power cord. The next possibility is that you need to change your back-up battery. The worst case scenario is that you have to change your monitor.

either there is a window ac mnounted on a nearby wall vibraion of which causes the monitor to flicker in this yellow pink way or may be there is a elctric transformer or a heavy duty electromagnetic field emitting equipment in a nearby premises

Assuming your monitor is one of the older Cathode Ray tube types, it is possible that one of the guns (blue or green) is in the process of failing. You may be able to use this monitor for a while but you might want to look at replacing it.

Check your monitor data cable is connected with CPU(Case). The cable may loose so the monitor reflects missed colors. Or slightly shake your monitor head.

Its time to get a new monitor or flat panel lcd which I reccomend.
