Click on the start button
Go into the Control Panel
Find and double click the System icon
Select the Hadward tab
Click the Device Manager button
A listing of harware catagories should appear
Find the USB group near the bottom and click the + in front of it to open the sublisting of all USB devices
Right click on each device and do an Uninstall
Reboot the PC and it should readd all the USB ports

Sometimes when you plug a USB device into one port, unplug and plug it into another, it gets the USB confused. It does not know where to find the device and it stops working. Doing this clear all the settings and restarts the ports
