Intel made the first marketable processor..
Competitors came..(AMD, CYRIX etc.)
Intel created another technology for the processor to crush its competitors..as a result..Intel pentium was born..

Competitors didn't buy the crap on following Intel's a-s-s, They still continued (esp. AMD) with the older technology being used on processors...

Outcome?..
Pentium is expensive compared to AMD's series of processors..
That's when Celeron was born..Intel's low end processor to match AMD's processors...

Celeron = made by Intel

Sempron = made by AMD

sempron is made by amd it comes in different socket configurations and is quite cheap

celeron is intels proc. it costs more, is not as fast and lets of more heat
