I bought a new case, mobo, processor, fan etc n connected all of them together to a 400 watt powersupply but for some reasonit won't turn on.. I'm pretty sure everything is in the right place and everything is pretty much screwed in so any suggestions as to what to do r did i get a faulty power supply??

Does the power supply fan run? If not, its faulty, if it does, likely installation error.

One place some people get into trouble when they install a new Mobo is putting the correct jumpers in the correct places for the power and reset switches - consult you mobo manual and make sure the jumpers are in the right places.

Is the switch in the back on the power supply flipped the right way?

maybe the supplying power is not enough to turn on the pc ... be sure to see what voltage the socket is
