I dont think thats possible as most motherboards only support the processors that they come supported for and now if you want to upgrade, u must change the chipset too.

Probably yes, but it would not be worth the money since it is very hard, since the processor is connected to the motherboard. I suggest you get a new motherboard.

What you can do is go to the manufacturer's website, enter your computer model number and look in the SUPPORT and\or DOWNLOAD section and find the specifications area for your computer.
That should give you your computer's motherboard Model # and the CPUs that it will support.
