Does this just mean I have wireless capability? Or does this mean if I am in a non-wifi area that I can use my phone company for my internet connection?

I ask this because I received a mass e-mail from my work explaining that everyone on it received an AT and T Wireless internet card, and if you aren't using it to please send it back. I'm confused. Is this thing built in?

I am hooking up a router and it is asking for the subnet mask, gateway, dns1 and dns 2 numbers. How do I go about finding that information out on my home pc? I have tried right clicking on the network places and going to properties but can not find it there. When I enter zeroes in all fields and it tests my internet connection it says it can not find connection. When I unhook router I can get online. What seems to be my problem?

Being outside is fine in summer - but i have to decide if one of these will work :

http://www.ccrane.com/antennas/wifi-antennas/super-usb-wifi-antenna.aspx

http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/24/buffalos-usb-wifi-adapter-boosts-range-210/

( or maybe someone has a better idea ) one has only USB Cable: 15' L.
is that long enough?
I cannot afford to expirament and would like to get it right the 1st time - it seems the signal is very sensitive to a spot outside of the house and i need to bring it inside - i dont know who the signal is supplied by and it comes and goes whenever it wants
all the other signals require a password to connect - is there a universal password?

I am having problems with kids surfing and blacklists are too much of a pain in the neck. I need a router that support a large whitelist style access control system, and a time based block.

What is the best for this? Price is not really an issue, capability is.

I am very confused in routers and servers! I know what a router does! But I am very confused with servers! My question is: You have to be connected to internet to connect to a server, or you can connect them together through a cable? How about the server, does it have to be connected to the internet or how is it made this network? How many types of networks there are??? I AM VERY CONFUSED, PLEASE HELP ME!
