Only on second computer. Main CPU is fine, installed wireless adapter for other. I can see the connection being made but when I open an browser, it tells me it can't connect. Is this a browser problem? I even ran a cable from the router to the computer, bypassing the wireless all together. The ethernet shows 'connected' but the browser still can't recognize.

Anybody have any ideas?

16 IP address I purchased because we have 15 employees. Now what do I do to hook it all up. Here is what I am thinking... I hook the dsl modem to the 24 port linksys Switch (SR224) and then have an ethernet wire goto each individual computer... I think that is the correct way to do it since I purchased the extra IP address... (Before I purchased the ip address we had to use a 'router' to designate all of the computers their own IP address... BUT now I do not need that, Am I correct?? ))

I need help on this one...

Hi all
We have a Toshiba satellite laptop. We use a D-Link Air DSW 650 version p1 wireless adapter in the laptop. It was working great, until one day. We were infected by a lot of spyware and we ended up deleting several files as came up of the spyware softwares. At the same time we upgraded our system from XP to windows XP service pack 2.

Now the problem started. All of a sudden the wireless stopped working. Even the icon in windows which says wireless network disappeared. I tried to uninstall the D-link and reinstall but nothing is working. When I look in the device manager I get error message on my network adaptor " the device cannot start (code 10)"

I am completely flustered what just happened. I have spent several hours searching forums but no help. Did my network adaptor died? or it is some software glitch?

By the way when I click on the D-link air utility nothing comes up.

HELP!!!

I got a Linksys router last night, and we popped in the CD, and tried 'admin' for the password. .Didn't work. I tried resetting it numerous times (holding the little button for about 30 seconds), then trying to enter the default password again, and it didn't work. I am confused. What could be going on?:

My computer is equipped with WAN service, however I do not want to be stuck with a yearly contract and high monthly payments.
Anyone knows if a "pay as you go" service exists?
