I have a D-Link 4 port wireless router. Right now, all 4 ports are occupied by 2 PCs, a networked hard drive and print server. I need to add 2 VoIP modems (from SunRocket). What do I need to buy? A switch or another router? What setup do you suggest? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

ok, so our company switched servers yesterday and gave me the incoming mail addy to run my Outlook. I need the SMTP for outgoing messages but the new server company says it is my ISP that provides that. AOL is who I subscribe to, they say it is not them, Qwest says it is not them, the last server we were with had the same info to enter in the incoming and outgoing fields...whats up? what the heck do I put in for the the new SMTP??

I don't want to buy an entirely new $50 router just for the wireless capability. Is it possible to just buy the wireless antenna? If so, where?

Is the MAC on the back of your Modem the code as required by a new ISP. If so why dont they tell you this to avoid you phoning your current provider. When I phoned BT for mine they just said the number they gave me was valid for 30 days.

i have been using an old computer for file sharing for the past few years, by mapping drives within My Computer. I have read some bad reviews on the internet regarding the Netgear SC101. is it possible to create 12 different folders, which can then be mapped to 12 different network drives.

I just bought a hp desktop with Vista. The desktop has an internal wireless card in it and it has our dsl lan cable pluged into it for internet. I need to set up a small wireless network running out of the tower's wireless card so i can use the internet and the desktops printer with my two laptops. I tried using an ad hoc network but only one of my laptops would recognize that there was a network being broadcasted. The lap top that recognized it said that the setting were not set to accept ad hoc networks. It gave me directions on how to change the setting. If folowed the directions and the settings list it talked about did not exist. I need a network set up so i can access the internet on all computers and us the printer that is pluged into the tower (remember: ad hoc did not work and i do not have or want to buy a router)

I have a wireless computer network running on 2.4Ghz, plus I also have a wireless telephone that runs on 5.8 Ghz. The instructions on the phone say that if there is a wireless network running on the same waves, they can interfere, but will a higher range (5.8) interact with the lower range wireless network (2.4)? Should I also keep other 2.4 Ghz electronics away from the wireless network so they won't clash? Also, I have another phone that is only 900 Mhz. Should I keep it away from my wireless network so that it won't interfere? I did have a cell phone on by my old network and the wireless computer network malfunctioned when the cell phone got too close. Thanks to all those who answer this!

I bought a shared hosting account with a domain. When I type the domain name it gets me to my updated page (i.e. everything's fine), it also resolves correctly to the IP address that I was told is mine.
But when I try to type in the IP address directly in IE (with a http:// prefix), I get a generic apache homepage. How come?
