Most big companies have a computer system that is fully integrated and fully backed. This means that all their computers are connected on one system and daily recordings are made of all actions on their system. The interconnection is for company efficiency while the backup recordings are used for data loss during power shutdowns. However, the backup recordings can be used to audit any individual computer to see if it is being used 100 percent for company business or if it is used sometimes for internet activity such as emails, porn, or blogs. People who think they can beat a system like this are wrong. One Christmas break a few years ago, I saw that 6 people did not come back to work because they were fired after an audit. So be careful.

If it's a company computer, then everything that is on the computer belongs to the company. If you have personal items that you don't want seen, then it's best to leave it for your home computer. Some personal content can even be grounds for termination so be careful.

If there was no network connection, then how on Earth would you ask that question?
Ask your company's IT staff, they will know what's n your computer. We won't, and since you told us NOTHING except the presence of a network cable I will assume you are an idiot running Windows. In that case, yes, your computer can be sabotaged because Windows has basically no security.
