VideoLAN is a software project, which produces free software for video, released under the GNU General Public License.

* It is a free cross-platform media player
* It supports a large number of multimedia formats, without the need for additional codecs
* It can also be used as a streaming server, with extended features (video on demand, on the fly transcoding, ...)

VLAN ( Virtual LAN)
-It is a logical grouping of computers.
-increase the no. of broadcast domain.
-enhance the network security.
-we can group diffirent departments of company.
-we need switch to configure VLAN.

It stands for Virtual LAN which is a method of creating independent logical networks within a physical network.
