I am traveling through France and Germany for a couple of weeks. I was wondering if there is a service there similar to here in the US where I have a Verizon pc card and it accesses the internet through the cell signal. Verizon seems to have blackberry data plans available, i can't find anything pertaining to pc though. THanks

the last few days every time I try to use any public internet connection that previously worked fine....my computer will connect only with limited connectivity or local access. any tips? also I get the message "connecting to the network is taking longer than usual" sometimes when I try. If I run diagnostics it either says resetting the adapter might help or it says there is no problem OR it says cannot ping dns server (remote host). the wierd thing is no matter what public server I try it wont work. help!!

I have a WR850G wireless router.. and for months now, when ever I log into it, change a setting and save it, it loses connection with the internet. And I have to fight with it (resetting to factory default usually a few times) until it finally gets the connection back.

It doesn't matter what I save in it, whether it be a password, filter setting, routing setting, etc. It all causes the connection to die when saved.

It's only the internet connection that dies. I still have the connection to the router. Full signal, etc. But no connection to anything web based (until I fight with it a few times and it finally comes back on). But doing that, I usually have to reset the factory defaults a few times (or sometimes many many times) until it comes back. I unplug the router and plug it back in. I use the reset button on the back of the router, use the "reset to factory defaults" on the settings page when I log into it, etc. until it finally gives me an internet connection again.

But by then, I've reset the settings.. so saving them in the first place is useless. heh.

It's annoying, since I can't really do anything with the router saving setting wise without losing the internet connection and I can't figure out why it's doing it. I had a Belkin router before, and it worked great. Maybe this router is just being screwy and it's time for a new one?
