Hi all
We have a Toshiba satellite laptop. We use a D-Link Air DSW 650 version p1 wireless adapter in the laptop. It was working great, until one day. We were infected by a lot of spyware and we ended up deleting several files as came up of the spyware softwares. At the same time we upgraded our system from XP to windows XP service pack 2.

Now the problem started. All of a sudden the wireless stopped working. Even the icon in windows which says wireless network disappeared. I tried to uninstall the D-link and reinstall but nothing is working. When I look in the device manager I get error message on my network adaptor " the device cannot start (code 10)"

I am completely flustered what just happened. I have spent several hours searching forums but no help. Did my network adaptor died? or it is some software glitch?

By the way when I click on the D-link air utility nothing comes up.

HELP!!!

Learn from this. NEVER upgrade immediately after major recovery operations, use the system first to ensure it is OK. Try removing the card, then delete it from the device manager. Then re-boot and try running the installer again. If this does not work try re-installing the system by booting from the cd and setting install at the first option screen, then at the second option choose the R repair option. Since service packs load over the original install you may have had a damaged file when you did the upgrade. After you re-install try the install again. Before you load the sp2 again, check the dlink site for the latest drivers and update them.

I could not find a DSW 650 on D-links support site but from other times an adapter had problems I can tell you what we did that finally worked.

First, unplug the adapter. Reboot into safe mode and remove the adapter from the hardware device manager. (if it still shows) Remove the software (it may not remove if some files are missing).

Reboot into normal mode and install the software. Once it completes the installation REBOOT - it wont tell you to but just take the minutes and reboot.

Once rebooted install the card and see if the HW manager will then recognize and install it.

If all that fails call DLINK tech support.. they usually are fairly good at getting these resolved and they know what registry keys you may need to edit etc.

Good luck.

I used this song for my wedding party introduction to the reception. It was awesome. I was able to find the version by FunTwo. It sounds the same. I don't have the mp3 anymore, but I got it from the FunTwo website I think. Try googling that.

There are different models in same category.
Go to this web site and down load the drivers again.
