Every time I start up my computer after I installed the Linksys Wireless router with Bellsouth DSL, it pops up with a password screen that says "Connect to 192.168.1.1" and asks me for my password. It gets on my nerves to see this screen everytime I start up and on the other computers it doesn't ask me for it. I've clicked on Save Password and restarted and it still pops up. Is there anyway to get rid of that screen while making sure everything still works okay?

Has anyone else had problems with seting the date. When I set it all up, the date was 1st jan & I cannot get into the setting time area to change it. I have contacted Linksys 5 weeks ago, gave them times when I was available, as per their request & am still waiting for contact. I think Yahoo answers is far better. Thanks

My network isn't working and I'm guessing this is the problem. Do I change it in my router settings? If so where?

Thank you.

I can connect to a data polling computer through the router using Windows XP's remote desktop connection. I can connect to the router remotely. I can poll the datalogger remotely. I can create .asp files locally. I can connect locally to the server using Frontpage 2003. I have setup the router to direct port 80 to the server. I've been trying to do all that is suggested in various net searches. If someone can recommend a book, I will appreciate it. The linksys router has four ports. One port is used by the polling computer ruunning Windows XP Pro. The second is used by the datalogger. The third port is used by a Dell server.

I go to my network places and put add connections but nothing shows up in browse. I turned bothfirewalls off on both of my desktops. It worked before and then I reinstalled XP on one of the desktops and I forgot how I had done it in the first place. They are connected through a wired router. My laptop still connects to both of them, but they don't connect to each other.

Switching from speedstream to the 2wire modem from AT&T. When reconnecting the cable to the modem, there is no ethernet light available and the connection shows as being unplugged. Are there compatibility problems with a realtek card and this modem? Reconnecting back to speedstream and everything works correctly.
