Switching from speedstream to the 2wire modem from AT&T. When reconnecting the cable to the modem, there is no ethernet light available and the connection shows as being unplugged. Are there compatibility problems with a realtek card and this modem? Reconnecting back to speedstream and everything works correctly.

I actually had a 2wire modem for a while back in the day...the sw1000 home portal if I remember correctly. This was one of the many problems I had with it, I ended up having to call the ISP and have them check the line...turns out that I had a major problem with the DSL line, "it wasn't long enough to reach my apt". Anyway, 1)update the firmware 2) follow the directions in the Manuel 3)if no luck, call the ISP company, and as WTF is up with my Internet connection?

might have the skill to do it with 2 routers by skill of way of huge reconfiguration. I even have an identical setup; i make the main a instantaneous bridge (no longer get get entry to to element or router). So, I plug 3 pcs into my bridge and it relays it to my router in yet yet another room. Works great. So I extra a source once I edited. this is an occasion of a instantaneous "bridge" no longer "router." Routers tend to be pre-configured to be a router. they deliver about your exterior IP handle and it if DHCP is enabled it leases out internel IP adresses on your indoors of attain pcs. Turning a router good right into a bridge is a soreness and a great sort of circumstances no longer particularly properly worth a mutually as; basically purchase a bridge.
