I am looking for a linksys device that will enable me to use my printer/scanner/etc. by not having to plug them directly in to the computer but I hit a button on my cpu and I am able to use them instantly. I would like to be able to do this on 2 laptops. Any recommendations? Thanks!!!

I have done BE in Computer Science with 65 % from Rajasthan University and also done CCNA with 936 score out of 1000. hey i am connected to the net with dsl but its a wired network. I want to use my psp online but i think it can only work with a access point. So i was trying to turn my notebook into an access point. Is that even possible? Or is there another way i can get online?

I reecently learned how to use UNIX in a class on a MAC and I would like to use it at home on my Windows XP laptop. But I don't know where to start looking for a UNIX terminal... help?

I have 2 compts. 1 is Win2k and the other is XP... My files sharing and printers were working b4 I reformat my hard drive on my XP.. Now, don't matter how I set up the network.. my printers and files won't able to share again.. A message kept on popping up saying that the path is unable to find or .."The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available.."
Any ideas will be very much appreciated..
What shall I do?

have win 98 try to upgrade to win xp but install fails. take out the ethernet card and can now install winxp. boot up once ok but now winxp wont start up. take out eternet card and now winxp runs ok. what is the problem with the card.

the computer in my room has crashed and its on a router to the GOOD computer in the computer room well i have tons of downloads on my hard drive and i need to know if theres anyway i can get the music and movies and stuff off my hard drive and onto the good computer (in all the downloads max out about 13 giga bytes so flah drives aint an option)

The cd it came with just freezes half way through the process. When I hooked up my lnksis router they had a website that made it very simple. Just follow the pics, and add a password. Im looking for something like that with the netgear router.

If anyone knows how to do this PLEASE explain to me how to set this up. I would truly appreciate anyone's help who could walk me through the steps. I already have the printer and driver software installed on the main computer in the network. I'm assuming that I would need to install the printer driver on all the other computers computers first, is this correct? Thanks in advance for your help.
