The Company has already registered the domain name company.com for providing Internet services. However, now that Active Directory is being implanted, you need a namespace strategy for the internal network.
What are the benefits and drawbacks for each of the three internal namespace strategies? Which would you recommend for The Company?

It's already set up for wireless, but I want my boyfriend to be able to use it at my house with my DSL connection. I tried just plugging it in and it told me the required software was not found.

i have recently installed windows 2003 small business server service pack 1, which comes with an installer for windows xp service pack 2. however, we're on a wireless network, and it can take over an hour and a half at times when transferring all the data and installing sp2 on the client. is there a way i can disable this from being installed, since the "remove" function in "setup client applications" wizard won't let me!!
thanks,
dan

I bought a new computer with Windows XP Pro and i've installed a SMC 802.11g Turbo 108Mbps Wireless PCI Card in my system. I've already installed its driver using the CD given and so far i'm not able to connect my computer to an existing wireless network at home.

My wireless network consist of 1 Linksys wireless access point. My sister has a computer with a Linksys wireless adapter(using USB) that is already successfully able to connect in our wireless network. Is it possible that since i'm using SMC and the network is made up of Linksys products, it couldnt get connected?

I've tried using their EZ Connect g for connection and had selected the correct network name(SSID) and Channel but when i hit the 'Apply Changes' button, nothing happens except at the Link Information, it switches from 'Associated' to 'Not Associated' simultaneously on the status field. The 'Radio' is On but i cant seem to be connected. Could someone please help guide me.

I have 2 NIC cards set up in my machine (running Windows 2003 Server), I have one on an internal network (192.168.1.3, gateway 192.168.1.1 and mask 255.255.255.0) and the other on internet facing network x.x.x147 and default gateway x.x.x.145, mask 255.255.255.240. I have configured the internal card (actually DHCP) with a metric of 999 for the connection. The internet facing card with a metric of 1 for gateway and connection.

I have added a persistent route to the internet gateway, and it makes the internet connection the default connection (what I want). But without warning the default connection changes to the Internal network, with the result that the machine is not visible from the internet.

Anyone could help me or tell me a better way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

I have broadband internet at home, so everytime I plug the wire in to my computer, it automatically connects.
But yesterday, while I was browsing on the internet, the connection failed, stating I have limited or no connectivity.
I checked different wires - it wasn't the problem. It can't be my service provider because there are other people in my house who share the internet and there's worked fine. So the problem is with my computer.
When trying to repair the connection, it gave the error that my network didn't assign a network address to the computer. Can anyone tell me how this could have occured, and how I can solve this?
Thanks
