this is very simple.
you can connect your both computer having LAN card with a cross cable. then go to setting>control panel >network connection>right click local area connection>properties>click on Internet protocol TCp/IP>properties>put ip of same network i.e.192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0
and same for other and put differ ip address of same network i.e. 192.168.0.2 and 255.255.255.0 u can use these ip address)
click ok and then ok.
if every thing goes well, now you would be able to ping each other ip.to check it go to run
and type " ping 192.168.0.2 " from that computer where u have given the address 192.168.0.1. it will show you reply from that ip.

now just share your music folder by right click on it and simply share it with default name.

it will show this folder in other computer in network neighborhood. you can access it from there

or you can just search computer with their ip address in search option > search computer and peoples.
you can follow this. its very simple to do. just give ip to your computers and share whatever you want.

it seems that you are not sharing the folder with music properly.
once u have shared a folder you need to give proper permissions for the other the use, copy or play the same.

just check sharing and security and give maximum rights tothe one PC which you need to copy files from.
