It's not normal however it has happened to me before, I was using USB connection so I just changed to Ethernet, make sure you reset your modem if you try that, Another problem could be a loose connection, usually in the back of your modem, check that the wire clips in or stays in securly, if it can just fall out that's probably why.If you are using Ethernet and your modem and cables are fine, try turning off your modem for 10 minutes, then turn your modem back on while your computer is off.. or any routing devices you may be using - let the modem load up for a minute, then turn on a routing device if you have any, and wait for that to load, then turn your computer on. If that still doesn't help you it could be your routing device if you have any.. or a virus, dialer virus's don't effect most people that don't have dial-up but it can change your default internet settings and still try to dial-up. If you mean that Yahoo Messenger disconnects or signs out every now and then it's pretty normal, Yahoo Messenger has been doing that lately. When the connection disconnects does windows say a device has been unplugged.. does any errors come up. And how long do you lose connection for..

There are a number of things that can affect your internet connection. My advice is to go through the following steps. If you are not comfortable doing some of the steps, I would advise you to take it to a qualified repair facility. Step 1: Disable your anti-virus software for a few minutes and see if you still get the problems. If not, you may need to uninstall and re-install the anti-virus. Step 2: Change the network cable. Sometimes the network cable can go bad if it has been crimped somehow, or due to other issues. Replace with a new one, or with a known good one. Step 3: Uninstall and re-install your network card drivers. Step 4: Replace your network card with a known good network card from another machine. If this fixes the problem, the network card is bad. Step 5: Format the hard drive and reinstall your operating system. I am assuming it is Windows. This should be a last resort, and only done if you know what you are doing and have backed up your data.

I prefer operettas to minuets, actually, so I don't have this problem.

It might be that your ISP has an aversion to Bach. In that case, I'd recommend Brahms or Chopin.

Good luck!

Absolutely not.

Either your router or modem is dysfunctional.

Call your ISP
