120GB harddrive.
i only have 500 bucks to spend on a laptop.
and i really just need it for a lot of my music. and my photoshop and instant messging programs.
is 120GB too much space? or should i get something smaller? i have no idea but 80GB sounds really small. and i have like 1000 songs.

Before I go ahead and make the mistake of buying some obscure product that happens to have "wireless" and "PC Card" in it's title, I wanted to check in here.

I've got a cable modem and a router already hooked up in my house. I've got the adapter installed on my desktop, I get internet, everything is peachy.

I've also got a second-hand laptop that doesn't have a wireless card installed thus making it sort of useless. I'd like to be able to, like a normal person, take my laptop wherever I want (including in my home) and use the internet (wherever a WiFi connection is available). I don't want to do one of those "Sign up and get internet for 2 years" deals -- just a card to plug into my laptop and search for existing wireless networks in the area and hop on the internet.

So, what am I looking for exactly? Can anyone link me to a relatively inexpensive example of the product I'm in the market for?

I looked at the USB specification, but it only cares about the plug. I need to know how to talk about a wireless USB adapter that looks like a flash drive as opposed to a wireless adapter that has a USB cord attached to it.

My home network looks like this:

Me --> Linksys WRT54GS (192.168.1.1) -->Actiontec GT701-WG (192.168.1.0) --> Internet (DSL)

I am trying to set up port forwarding to see if it will increase my bitTorrent speeds

I have the Linksys router forwarding the correct port to my (static) IP address. I need the Actiontec to forward that same port to the Linksys, but I don't know the IP address of the 'outside' interface of the Linksys. I found a site to do a reverse tracert, but it just showed up as a bunch of asterisks (probably my ISP blocking the info).

I tried to telnet into the Actiontec, and traceroute myself, but once I log in (it uses a linux shell) none of my text makes it to the CLI. I tried with "telnet" from the command prompt and also with putty, same problem.

I know that the address in question will have to be on the same subnet as 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 (which is how i get to the actiontec) but guess-and-check will take too long.

i dont understand why they fight they are going to in trouble for it and it causes people to get hurt women are meant to fight
look at these videos to see what i mean some of them happen in schools so were are teachers when its happening when i was at school girls used to fight and other kids used to crowd round and cheer them on meaning teachers could not stop it i have seen girls after fights and one girl was bleeding and the other girl was on the floor knocked out there is no need to fight

My computer has been behaving very strangely this past week. Everytime I manually turn it off and turn it back on the next day, all of my files are gone; all of my saved files just disappear. I'm almost certain I have a virus. I've been noticing symptoms like programs not loading correctly or at all, constant browser hijacking, taskmanager being disabled, and being a gamer my ping is exceedingly high (6000+ms). I use Norton Internet Security 2007 and have run sevral full-system scans but come up with nothing. I can't do a system restore because I have no restore points saved - likely the doing of the virus. I'm not hugely familiar with viruses and short of wiping my hard drive clean I'm not sure how to correct it. If anyone could diagnose my problem or tell me how to correct it I would greatly appreciate it.
