Just go to tool at the top of your webpage, open Internet Options, and clean all your history, temp. files.

You need to know that all the data is still on your HDD. And I don't care what any software company tells you that they can clean your HDD, 100%., this is not true. Any forensic computer expert can still strip all the data off your pc.

The only way to destroy data, off a HDD, is to beat with a hammer. Nobody in the world can strip the data off.

This is getting more and more difficult as computer systems get more complex.

Mostly you will want to go to the "tools" menu. Choose options and it should be the first thing that comes up. Delete history, delete files and delete cookies. Look further into the settings of your browser and I think there is a setting to will erase everything every time you close the browser.

Please understand, you have to do more than delete the history, you have to delete the temporary files, the contain all the content that you accessed while on the computer and many times they aren't all that temporary.

However, if you are using the Internet connection of the college, they will have a router of some sort and it WILL be keeping track of all pages and sites accessed. There is no way to get around that. So either you have to decide that you don't care about that or don't use the college Internet connection. Chances are that they are way to busy to care about what site you are going to and if they aren't, they will just block them anyway

I suggest you using Firefox. It's better than IE. While you are browsing ( ON FIREFOX ) click Tools on the menu bar => Options, and then in the privacy tab check the box " clear my private data every time I close Firefox " and " Accept cookies from sites => keep until => they expire. it's the best method I know.
