I would go for SLi

SLI offers more of a performance increase than Crossfire, primarily because it's a slightly newer (and more advanced) technology. However, SLI is far from perfect and sometimes it's better to just buy a better card instead of running two of a lesser one.

Sli-Nvidia
Crossfire-Ati

I prefer Nvidia, all my Mobo's run with their chipsets, and all my Vid cards are Nvidia, yes even my laptop.

Better is an opinion,as they are both "good"

I run Msi Platnuim Mobo,AMD 64b Dual Core 6400+ Black edition(3.2ghz factory,completly overclockable,kick *** cpu)2g's unbuffered ram,12k-rpm Sata drive,Sli'ed Nvidia 8800 gts....havent met a game I cant play........yet.

Aslo the Mobo has to support Sli,or Crossfire, need 2 Pci-express x16's slots. Also without decent cpu, neither will function greatly

it depends on the whole setup and the game ur running. some games are made to run faster on crossfire and some are made to run faster on the sli. some run fast on both, i prefer nvidia.
