How can I delete my browsing history permanently and safely?

Internet Options

Under Browsing History, click 'Delete'

That clears the browsing history, if you use 'Auto Complete', you might want to clear that as well.

Clock on the 'Content' tab at the top

Click 'Settings' nexty to Auto Complete

uncheck all the boxes.
