Just for emergency:

But I'd rather just give you some if you were near my PC shack. I still have some, perhaps good for more than a dozen applications.

Well, the cheapest thermal paste you can buy is at ebay. They sell some stuff for about $0.99, and I really cant find anything else that will suit your need for a temporary solution.

If not... you can not use thermal paste at all... but dont run anything that eats up cpu usage.

Thermal Paste or soft silver can work. Those are the only two methods I know of.

Don't try anything else. Most materials which will conduct the heat correctly will either evaporate rapidly, or can be conductive, and if they melt or run at all could totally destroy your machine. That is why heat sink paste was developed.

i could advise getting a computing device cooler fan, they run approximately 10 greenbacks for one, and often run on usb. i've got use those as replacements(short-term) until eventually i've got been given a sparkling fan. in case you visit cyberspace you will probable stumble on a instruction manual for disassembly of your computing device. it relatively is a sprint daunting in the start yet nicely surely worth the couple hours to save the money for a provider tech(like me) to repair.
