You may want to contact microsoft or the company where the computer was purchased or check ebay.

lol, everyone is saying that Windows 98 is like a lame OS. Although it is wiped away by latest versions, Windows 98 flexibility is still invulnerable. In fact, many companies, prefer Windows 98 as an OS for their safe files and programs. I am using WinVista. but my other PC OS is Win98 for security reasons. For personal use, I guess, they are right, upgrade for WinXP. If you are really persistent for Win98, try e-Bay. I have a licensed copy of Win98, you can have it, but i doubt if you can get it.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Windows98 is no longer supported by Microsoft. Even if you can find an unused copy, I don't think you will be able to download updates or fixes.

Found Win98 here. You might find a copy on EBay, but I prefer to deal with Amazon.

A couple of copies here.

If you watch the ads in the paper, especially on weekends, you can catch a good deal. I picked up a Dell 3000 for $299 and free shipping. Sometimes you can find a refurbished PC at Dell or HP - but you have to check regularly as they go fast when they turn up.

Hi. The Win98 OS is no longer supported by Microsoft. Some computer repair shops may still have an installation disk. I have a Win98 machine but only use it for slow applications. Maybe time for an upgrade?

About a year ago I got out of my windows 98 that I had upgraded to 98SE and got VISTA.
VISTA sucks. Except for some flash players and ram hungry gaming sites win98 will still let you do a lot of stuff.

I don't think you can buy Windows 98 at any stores anymore, so your best bet might be Ebay or something like that. Although, you may want to upgrade to XP.

He can get a copy of windows XP for around $90. Just go to Amazon and search for xp oem. The reason that it is so cheap is because once you put it no a computer it can never be moved to another one.

Find someone that still has a 98 disk and install it from that disk. You would have to clean install it and if you don't know how it can some times be a little tricky.
