Asrock ALive NFG6 motherboard (Micro ATX)
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO PCI-E
2GB OF DDR2 RAM

Things i already have and I am going to keep:

A 80GB HDD
A DVD DRIVE
A 400W POWER SUPPLY

Is that a good sytem for average gameplay - when i say average, i mean games like guild wars, world of warcraft, fable etc...

Also would i be able to run either windows vista premium or vista home basic and get decent running speed?

Both computers have barely anything on it but my laptop seems to run a lot slower. Is there a fault with the laptop coz im sure my laptop is much better in specs

I was trying to get my wifi to work and as a result ended up disabling my HPCP(i think) server that was found in my router setup, I cant get on the internet even through my wired connection now. In order to return to my router setup i need my global IP address which i dont know how to attain, i did the IP config in console but when i entered that number in the URL it didnt take me, but the IP address i originally got from whatismyip.com did. so how do i find my global IP address with my internet down. please help?

Ive been trying to get into hacking for a while and im trying to hack into my own computer using nmap and telnet. As i understand it, i nmap my ip address to see what ports are open. Then when i find out which ports are open i go into telnet and type "open (ip address) (# of open port)". i get "Connecting To (ip address)...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed. What am i doing wrong?

These are huge number of .xls and .doc files which needs to be transferred over the net. Even if someone can provide a service of around 500MB, that should be good enough, so that I can do the same operation 4 times.

each time i open something i click send error
and plus i also got rid of the corrupted file by cleaning my disk

I have had my Nvidea Geoforce 7600 card installed on my computer(dell Dimension 4550 , Pent 4 ,2.4 ghz 1 g ram) and it has run beautifully under 2000pro..In order to run newer games i installed XP Pro on a separate hard drive..It (xp) runs fine,HOWEVER...It will not acknowledge my video card.Ive run the install cd that came with the card.it claims to have taken the install but NO ..on every start up it goes thru the "found new hardware" and i offer up the nvidea disk ...but still wont take....XP is a supported os for this card .....what gives? I knew i fought the xp os upgrade for a reason....but didnt think it would be this difficult...HELP
