prices of nvidia geforce 8600 and 8800
how would 8600 be ?

until recently, I would have suggested the 8800gt as a sure-fire winner (and it is still an awsome card) However, the new ati 3870 is not only cheaper on average, but performs better and has dx10.1 support where the 8800gt will not support dx10.1. Also, the ati has 2x more stream processors...so that is always a plus. Check it out here:

maximum of those video games are greater CPU based than they are GPU based, a single middle sempron might bottleneck any New pictures card you setting up, rendering your purchase a waste of money. I advise paying for a clean power grant (a minimum of 550watts) getting a phenom II x4 965BE and a cooler grasp Hyper 212+ and later getting a Geforce GTX550

Best bang for your buck is the 8800GT.
