Will a mini-usb to 3.5 mm headphone adapter work, or do i have to have some bluetooth headphones to work. I bought one of the adapters off ebay, but it wouldn't work. It transmitted a loud screechy sound when plugged in.

I have a Benq Joybook R55 laptop . At the moment I have a 60 gb HDD ( SATA 5400 rpm ) , and 512 RAM . I had ordered already 2 1 GB RAM stick , that are compatible with my laptop , and I have a decent laptop graphics card : NVIDIA GeForce 7400 , with 256 mb of memory .

Now , the problem is that my CPU has only 1.6 ghz speed ( Intel Celeron M ) . I overclock it , and it runs at 1.9 GHZ with no heat issues .

My question is : can I upgrade my CPU to a 2.8-3.2 GHZ speed , or not ?

OK so i have a built in SD port, but when i put the sd in i cant find it on my hard drive list and nothing pops up. I dont think i have used the SD port on this computer yet...

anyone have any ideas??

by the way i dont know if it matters but its for my phone. its one of the realllly tiny ones that u have to put into a bigger one so it fits in ur comp. thanksss

When I close my laptop and come back to it in maybe, 10-15 minutes, the screen will resume but it'll take its time in the process. If i leave it closed for the night and come for it in the morning sometimes the screen will resume, most of the time it wont. When it wont, I usually turn the computer off with the power button and turn it back on without a problem. How do I get my screen back without shutting down my computer each time it decides to not appear? Is it a sleep mode, or a bad video drive?

I'm about to purchase a 1GB RAM drive (or w/e the 2nd part of the name is) and I'd like to know how to change it. I have a basic outlook on how to, because my tech teacher told me how without opening a computer to actually.. show me. Now, he said it's easy, it seems easy, I'd just like to know what to look for so I don't pull out the wrong thing, heh. I mean buying a 1GB for my Dell (standard) 2400 desktop? I have a dell dimension 9200 with a gforce 7300 (yep, it sux i know QQ) so i was planning to get a new card, either a gforce 8600 or 8800 so i was trying to check wether i need to change my power supply (no idea what supply I do have) and if so, what would I need? and besides, i think i would need some new cooling fan. Ok...im about to make a big $1500 investment on a laptop on ebay. (its a really good deal)
However, is there any other insurance that i wont get screwed over other then the feedback system? The guy has a really good feedback...but that isnt enough for me. Does ebay or paypal offer any kind of insurance if i dont receive the laptop?

Just in case you were wondering...its a New, fully loaded Dell m1330.

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my tv. My laptop has a 7 pin s-video output and my tv takes 4 pin s video and the three color coded connectors. I want a simple cable that can transfer video and sound but I don't know where to get it. All I find is the 4 pin-video to 4 pin s-video.

I replaced my CD writer with a DVD writer a couple of days ago. I burned a DVD or two then. The day after when I tried to turn on the computer it shut down itself after a couple of seconds. after a couple of tries it worked again and I used the PC for like two hours. The day after this repeated again and I couldn't turn the PC on. I disconnected the DVD writer and my CD ROM (suspecting power insufficiency) and tried again and the PC just went off automatically after like 2-3 seconds every time. What do you think id the problem?

If I wanted to save my files and photos on two partitions on my harddisk on that PC what should I do? My wife will kill me if I can not revive our photos!

Do i still need to use a floppy disk to update my bios. i have the bios update. i just downloaded it to asus website. my mb model is a7v8x-x. i also have that eflash 2. is that right? but i dont know how to use it. I just want to update my bios because my pc always resets its clock speed everytime i shutdown. Even i properly shut it down. i also replaced its battery.

i have a sony vaio laptop.i have windows vista right now.but i want to install windows XP.i bought the original XP cd but im unable to install it.i could format vista.but when XP is being installed,its not dectecting the drives on the machine and set up exists.can any one help me with this.i need XP at any cost on the laptop :(

I had a situation. I took my computer in for some work and mistakenly took in the first Windows disc although Windows SE was installed on my computer and I also have that disc. In the process of fixing my problem they managed to install original Windows. I also seem to have 18 gigs of hard drive space gone now. I can get my hands on an upgrade to SE, my question is it worth the trouble for basic internet usage, and would a clean re-install of SE then restore my hard drive space to where it was before they installed the wrong disc? On my moyherboard, i have 3 DDR slots
the first two, i am using 256...the last one is empty, if i add a
512 MB DDR ram, does that mean i have to re install windows xp professional? if i do any changes inside my custom made computer, do i have to re load XP over and over again?
my computer already has XP pro...
if i add another 512 MB of ram, does that mean everything in my hard drive gets erased??
