Headphone Question for Razr V3xx?

Will a mini-usb to 3.5 mm headphone adapter work, or do i have to have some bluetooth headphones to work. I bought one of the adapters off ebay, but it wouldn't work. It transmitted a loud screechy sound when plugged in.

U need the adapter specified by the manufacturer.
