Their range is so limited, the person trying to hack the signal would need to be in the same room as you.

I have a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse. I have had them with both of my computers and really do like them. The mouse give you just a little more freedom in moving the mouse around the pad. No wires to hang off of the keyboard or the mouse. They do run on batteries though, just so you know. And the mouse can go through a little more batteries than the keyboard. It takes 2 double A batteries for the mouse and 2 double A batteries for the keyboard. I can't say that I have had any trouble with them. So I would recommend them to everyone. Hope you try them. Good Luck! Let me know how you like it.

Steve, simple answer is that all computer equipment, wireless or not is fundamentally insecure without encryption / decription software.
Governenment stuff.
It is no big secret that I went on a training course to GCHQ in Cheltenham.
We went out in the blue vans packed with gizmos, and easily picked up and recorded personal details outside a Nat-West bank. Account details etc.
All from the lousy EM transmissions from lousy Amstrad machines within the bank, 10 metres away.
OK, it takes a bit of fiddling with the technology, but is possible.
I was amazed at how easy it is do a "listen-in" to folks private stuff, given the know-how.
Mobile phones are easy, a phone clipped onto a street corner green junction box.
Greif, I heard the neighbours arguing about something over our baby alarm thing.
Normally wireless systems are fine, but be careful as to what you say or type.

A wireless mouse is great! I have never tried a wireless keyboard that sounds like fun too. I think they are pretty safe but then I am not a genius at this stuff, just experienced.

I've never really given it much thought.
However, it is broadcasting everything you type. And it isn't impossible to intercept and record it. The range is pretty limited, maybe (20-30 ft), so they'd have to be close. But I live in an apartment, so my neighbors are close enough.
Most wireless keyboards offer a Secure Mode, to encrypt data that's being sent. Just enable that, and you don't have to worry.

Secure as anything else. It's not like they're wireless off the network, they're wireless off the PC.

Wireless keyboards use Bluetooth, not web-based Wifi. Their range is less than 30 feet, so they are very secure.

Totally =- it depends upon your router, not the keyboard or mouse!! Make sure your network is secure.
