When I turn on my computer the screen shows "partial memory error"? Do I need to replace the RAM? I'm a computer dummy, please help.

Yes replace the ram 'stick'. You can put your computer model in the search bar of Crucial.com to see what ram memory 'stick' your computer uses.Go to Newegg.com, to see what desktop ram memory sticks, look like. Then I suggest going to Howstuffworks.com,(Computer Channel), to get more info. It isn't hard, you can do it! You should stop using this computer, until the ram is replaced. You may also want to visit ComputerHope.com

Its prolly a small problem with your memory stick, do a search for your computer and findout what kinda of ram you need type model and size, its a simple operation to remove the old one and install a new stick. don't run your computer in this condition, as your rish futher damage.

you need a memory stick you won't delete your hard drive.
if you have a Local Computer shop store bring your computer to them ask them to change your computer memory.

yes u must replace it talk to a comp tech near u if u do it ur self u will delete all your files on ur comp.
