well me and my friends want to make videos, edit them and upload it onto the computer and we tried so we asked my friend what we had to do and he said i need to buy a system called fire wire but i want to know if its only for Apple computers or can it be downloaded into any brand of computers also if it does can anybody tell me what i should buy for a reagular windows computer its a platnum JBL series FS740

I have a HP laptop with Windows XP Mediation. I have my automatic updates turned on. XP keeps trying to install the following update: “Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181)”. It will ask me if I want to install it and I click yes. Then it shows the installation as complete.

Within 20 minutes, it is asking me if I want to install it even though I just did install it. I've tried rebooting, but it keeps happening. Any suggestions?

Ok so I just bought this watch off of ebay and I was wondering who delivers the watch to me, is it the mailman or what? But I want to upgrade to 2GB so I can make Vista run better. I have no clue about RAM stuff so can someone help me out please? How much does it cost? Would it be better if I just got a laptop with the same brand, but a higher model # and RAM, for $170 more?

to hook into the internet. At one time, I could print documents from my notebook on the printer hooked into the desktop. That is no longer the case. I've set the printer to "share this printer" and tried setting up the network again but have had no luck. Do both cpu's need the printer software? I'd really like to zap out all former networking and start from scratch but if there is another way, I'm all ears. Also, I cant seem to share folders between CPU's. Help Please!

My brother-in-law mistakenly downloaded this virus software from http://www.virusprotectpro.com/. There is an icon in my quick launch that flashes and says "system has detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact the performance of your computer. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted spyware by downloading an up to date anti-spyware solution".

1. When I went to remove the program it does not exist!

2. The website does not provide un-install.

3. I tried to use System Restore and it will not allow me to restore!

4. Help!!!

I have recently downloaded a rar file which I extracted OK and tried to convert & burn with vsoconvertxtodvd. It starts to convert so slowly ( it says 9 hours on the screen) & my Computer virtually comes to a standstill. So much so I had to erase it. Could you please explain to me why this is so. I can watch the movie using VLC Media player

When the one they advertise is always a stock model that has little if any use to the average person. They never even have MS word or simple program like that and all their hardware is bottom of the barrel. I think its wrong, especially since so many people don't understand the concept of what needs to go into a computer to make it run certain things and they end up buying something they can't even use. Its not because they were trying be cheap ,its because that's what was advertised and they assume its adequate. The price gouging ,even on those crap models is insane.
