Actually, everything sounds alright, except it's possible you have a corrupt download. No big deal.
But, try this:
Right-click My Computer, select Explore.
Select Local Disk C:, then, Program Files. You should see the program listed there.
Double-click on the Program file. Expanded, you should see a file saying, "Uninstall" or "Unwise," which will be a .exe file.
Run it.
If you get bogged down or don't find these files(!), you'll probably want to find a registry editor program. I know WinUtilities can fix it. Right now, I'm running Registry Mechanic 6.0 that I haven't tested yet, because I haven't had many registry issues lately. But I'm sure it can handle it as well.

buddy, this type of virus protection softwares are virus-like but they dont harm ur pc. but if u want to remove it then u can have to go to registery. This type of software act directly from registry... if u are using windows operating system then go to start-> run -> regedit -> search for Hkey Local Machine -> Windows -> Software -> search for the program that your anti-virus is named with and delete all the contents and restart your computer and do a disk cleaning thing so that any temperory files for this software is deleted... if still the thing remains then take a back up from ur pc and reinstall the whole system... i hope u will get rid of this quickly

Ok it sounds like you went t the control panel and tried to remove the program from add remove programs icon.If not try that first.Next step alternate click icon click properties,go to the GENERAL TAB, Look for location and you should see something like C:\documents settings \.Well C: is usually your hardrive and the rest are files or folders. the Uninstall or program should be somewhere in there. To start looking go to MY COMPUTER,click open then go to whatever drive location says its in most cases c:\. and go through files or folders according to location.

Best thing to do in this case is to google with a question on how to remove this adware and most likely you will find answers or other who have the same problem and the fix. It sounds like it has added itself to your registry and will need help deleting it's values. Good luck.

I HATE add/remove programs! it never gives you all of the programs that are installed. try this, it is not a scam, it is very efficient, and it has a whole ton of very usefull tools built-in. just... don't ust the Junk Scanner. it tends to read files as junk that are not junk, like the Registry, and user.temp files

you can get free downloads to rid your computer but it is better to buy the software that blocks and cures viruses as they are released on line.It is another expense but worth it for ease of use and peace of mind
