I am catching my neighbors internet but I want to improve the connection. I KNOW there is a way - I just haven't found it yet. If you're going to tell me to buy something - then please give me a specific name of the product instead of just saying something like "get a booster."

I have an acer 5100 latop with a BUILT IN wireless card. I do have USB ports and a card slot.

Hi everyone, i have a problem with my laptop - Fujitsu S Series
My laptop is joining a domain in my company, and it can be used to access Internet as the IP is reserved for my laptop and this IP can used for accessing to Internet. So i can access Internet using LAN connection.

The problem is when i unplug my LAN cable and use wiressless connection, i couldnt get into Internet, but i can get the IP from wireless router, (192.168.x.xxx), and the connection signal is excellent. Everything seems normal.

I tot is the wireless router problem, so i connect my laptop directly to streamyx modem (another PC that attached to this modem is working fine), still cannot access to Internet!!

At the status bar there just saying : Looking up www.yahoo.com...

I have off firewall and antivirus.

Pls help me...Thanks a lot

I've heard horrible things about Vista when it came out. Now, I've bought a new computer that came with Vista & am finding out that going back to XP on a Vista designed machine is a pain. For example, the integrated sound doesn't have XP drivers. Do you think I should just stick with Vista at this point?

how does 1080i signal look when viewing on a 1680x1050 monitor?

it should give u small minor black bars on top and bottom, but hows the quality? does the monitor know how to "Smooth it out"?

is it good? or am i better off geting a 24" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution?

i downloaded a patch for a capture card i was going to use.

well i dont have a virus scanner on the computer, and i forgot that i had uninstalled it a week ago.

i right clicked the file and clicked scan, then remembered oh i dont have a scanner.

so i wanted to just delete it instead of use it, but now it says its in use by another process, ive rebooted a few times and just want it to go away.

basically how do i figure out what process is running the file so i can just end the process and delete the file

Apple Mac Question
I recently installed Aperture and all went well until I tried to open the program
its telling me my system does not meet the software requirements its version 15.1
and I have a new Mac pro with two duel 2.6 processor, 1.5 terabyte and 4 gig ram
so doubt its to slow or not big enough

My computer's sound isn't working... when I try to turn up the volume it just makes thesteady whine, like most speakers make when they're turned up full blast but with not sound. I've tried checking to see if the computers on mute, turned up and down the speaker, on and off . . . I can't figure it out and gets to be really annoying! Please help!

I just installed a slave hard drive into my computer, and it won't boot up. It gets stuck on that self test screen. When I take the slave drive out, the computer boots fine. When I make the slave drive the master, it almost boots up but gets stuck on the screen asking if i want to run windows normally or in safe mode.

the slave drive and the original drive both have windows xp on them. I can't reformat the slave drive because I need the information on it.

The jumpers on the drives are also correct. The slave drive worked fine in another computer but I changed the RAM in it and now nothing happens, the monitor doesnt even respond to it. Is there any way I can get this drive to work?
