Which laptop is better for gaming the dell xps or the area 51 alienware i dont want a laptop that lags also is it better to buy them just like they are or should i upgrade it?

well, any laptop is ok. just add some ram. its cheaper than buying a new laptop :]

In my opinion, the Alienware Area 51 is better than the Dell XPS when it comes to gaming.

If you are considering spending the money on a "gaming" computer, you'd better get in gear and get an education on computers.
I have an XPS desktop, but it's not a gaming PC, but can be easily upgraded to one if I so desire. That's the nice thing about desktops. EASILY UPGRAGEABLE!!
Laptops don't provide as much latitude in the upgrade category and are quite limited as far as the display is concerned. Who wants to play high intensity games on a laptop screen??? Certainly not me!
You better understand what you are buying as far as laptop or desktop is concerned and get some good knowledge about the components and hardware that make a pc run games and demanding software with ease.
