of course it can and if you do have a battery it is best to use power with the battery in so the battery will stay charged.

Some notebooks allow you to remove the battery because the battery bay doubles as an expansion bay for a floppy drive, CD-ROM or another hard drive but require you to be plugged into an AC outlet.
Other notebooks require that the battery be in place to complete the power circuit. It simply depends upon the features of your notebook but operating without the battery won't damage the notebook in any way. Just be sure to always use a good surge protector.

Yes. A laptop can run without the battery. The other source would be the AC adapter. It can't damage the laptop if you don't use the battery. If you use only the AC adapter, make sure you don't unplug it while you're using the laptop because you will lose all of your data.

Yeah, yet pay attention that throughout the time of the experience that your place or everywhere you're at loses power together as your laptop is on, it is going to tension close your laptop down and that may not a robust difficulty. it could harm your laptop, so it incredibly is constantly a robust theory to have the battery plug in, regardless of if the battery in hassle-free terms final for half-hour. that provide you greater effective than adequate time to close down the laptop the perfect way.

In my knowledge about computers, I would say no. Power has to be routed through the batter in some way. I know that when I have my computer plugged in, hibernating, and I take out the battery, the computer shuts down.
