Open the image.

RIGHT click on the IMAGE window title bar and choose "Image size..."

The dialog box will tell you how big your image is in pixels and at the bottom the resolution which will be what you want to look at.

Note, that dpi and ppi are not the same, and that higher dpi (like 300 vs. 100) will not make your image sharper.

Not sure why you need this information, but it's a long story about dpi and ppi and resolution and how to make an image sharp.

If someone has asked you to send a photo at 300dpi, then you need to ask more questions since simply changing this will NOT make a better image and can possibly have disastrous results for the people receiving your image.

In many cases you will be better of sending the file in its original size and ppi and letting the receiving people deal with printing or outputting in what ever way they need.
