I know there will be nothing there but i got a windows xp installion on a removable disk my friend got it for me. How would i install windows xp of the removable disk to my empty and formatted pc. (i haven't formatted my pc yet)

Hi,i have a built in wireless lan card in my laptop,i am using a wireless router to access the internet,unfortunately the the reception is very low,i cant get closer to the router because i am now in the Mall and i really donot know where they have there routers.

is there is anyway or a tool that tells the exact place of the wireless router and how i can increase my reception (by overclocking the card ?)

hi when i try downloading a program or anything it says its complete but when i go to the folder i sent it to its not there.also when i download a file to run it will download then it says run or dont run so i select run but then nothing happens.

I got windows xp pro i want to format it by using ms-dos off a floopy disk. I ve been told that if i got a recovery partion on my pc and i format my xp pro. Then my windows xp installion will not be deleted. Is this true? How do i check to see if i have got a recovery partion? ( I think i got one is it the partion with 7 mb)

So I have several virus protection programs.

-Windows Defender
-Ad - Aware
-Ad - Watch
-Norton
-Webroot Spy Sweeper
-PC Tools Spyware Doctor.
-PC Doc Pro

What I don't understand is that the first 6 programs tell me that there is nothing wrong with my computer but when I run PC Doc Pro it tells me that their is like 516 wrong with my computer.
Basically I want to know if PC Doc Pro just wants to suck your money (because you have to buy the program if you want to remove all the virus/junk) or is what their telling me true?

Or is their anything anyone would suggest doing? Taking it somewhere or whiping the hard drive?
