Can u run a macintosh operating system on a vaio laptop?

No. I can see why you would want to but it is another limitation of the Mac OS.

not legally but it is possible as per above it has to run on apple hardware, the other thing is that macs can now run windows with bootcamp, parallels, vmware etc so macs arent as bad as ppl make them out to be

Not legally, but you can run XP on a Mac.

OS X only runs on Apple hardware.
