I have microsoft office 2007. i scaned in a text paper to my pc. it thinks its a picture. how do i transform it to text so i may write on it?

As others have already stated, you need to use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software.

Here's a link to a free one ... meaning that you don't have to pay for it. It's a legal way to do it.

I'm not sure I've never used office but you need some sort of optical character recognition/OCR software.just scan the document using the software and save it as a text document and then open it up in office or cut/paste in to it. you mite have got this software with your scanner?

Most of the better scanners include OCR (optical character recognition) software to convert text images to text.

Check your scanner manual. It is often an option when you scan a page.

I'm sorry, but there's no way to do that. You will have to either retype it manually, or search online for a text copy.
