Hi everyone, i have a problem with my laptop - Fujitsu S Series
My laptop is joining a domain in my company, and it can be used to access Internet as the IP is reserved for my laptop and this IP can used for accessing to Internet. So i can access Internet using LAN connection.

The problem is when i unplug my LAN cable and use wiressless connection, i couldnt get into Internet, but i can get the IP from wireless router, (192.168.x.xxx), and the connection signal is excellent. Everything seems normal.

I tot is the wireless router problem, so i connect my laptop directly to streamyx modem (another PC that attached to this modem is working fine), still cannot access to Internet!!

At the status bar there just saying : Looking up www.yahoo.com...

I have off firewall and antivirus.

Pls help me...Thanks a lot

I really don't have enough information to go off of but I would bet that you have a problem with multiple gateways. Try physically disabling the network connection associated with your work static address. Leaving only the wireless network connection enabled. You may need to disable and re-enable the wireless connection after the others are disabled.

What happens is the PC route table still has entries for the static IP address you use at work. This is confusing to the PC when connected to your wireless network thus creating the problem.

sounds like LAN settings [under control panel, internet options, connections -- at bottom] Advanced button has something set in it that has fixed the IP address your laptop will be using.

then when you access the router or modem using any other IP address, messages can't be passed

all I can think of atm

When you are not connecting to the office domain, you need to log into the machine itself instead. Otherwise it still tries to use the domain settings. There is an option to switch login from "domain" to "this computer".
