I have a HP laptop with Windows XP Mediation. I have my automatic updates turned on. XP keeps trying to install the following update: “Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181)”. It will ask me if I want to install it and I click yes. Then it shows the installation as complete.
Within 20 minutes, it is asking me if I want to install it even though I just did install it. I've tried rebooting, but it keeps happening. Any suggestions?

try going to the control panel add remove programs see if it is listed uninstall it. reboot your computer manually download the update and install it. If that don't work go to the windows xp troubleshooting section do a search for that update to see if there are just problems with this update.

It's doing that on my computer too! It's so annoying!
UPDATE!!!! I Did what the other person that answered and uninstalled all of the things in the control panel that said that and now it doesn't bug me anymore!
